3 Reasons Why Weight Loss Is Very Hard

This information is coming from the Atlanta Weight Loss Plan.

When not considering weight loss, there are few things that are more refreshing to me than eating fresh piping hot corn on the cob, with plenty of butter and salt. It is such a refreshing and healthy tasting treat. What could be wrong with that you might ask?

Well, In America the average adult consumes 67% of their total caloric intake from only 3 foods – corn, soy and wheat. The consumption of these 3 foods should only be about 5 to 10% of our total diet.

This imbalance in our diet is creating massive health problems associated with obesity, and the primary culprit in our diet hindering weight loss is these 3 foods.

It’s not a surprise that we have also developed so many intolerances and allergies, specifically to soy and wheat (And gluten intolerance).

•    Our digestive systems weren’t designed to handle this massive amount of:
•    Corn oil
•    Soybean oil
•    Soybean oil (hydrogenated or plain refined)
•    Soy protein
•    Corn oil

Several other derivatives including- corn or wheat starch, mono and diglycerides, soy lecithin and much more.

Think about your diet, does it include breads, marinades, soda, salad dressing or ketchup? Each of these contains massive amounts of high fructose corn syrup.

Now here is another shocker. Farmers are feeding cattle mostly corn and soy even though there systems are not designed for it. It puts way more fat on farm animals which brings the farmers more money when the cattle are sold at the market.
Feeding farm animal corn and soy alters the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio of the fats to unhealthy levels. It also diminishes the healthy CLA fats that would occur naturally in grass-fed beef. The same holds true for chickens, salmon and other farm raised fish.

This means that even when you are consuming healthy foods such as chicken, fish or beef you are still leaving your health at risk due to the soy, corn fat buildup.

Do you want to get a handle on your health and experience healthy weight loss? Start with the foods you are putting in the cart at the grocery store! When you want to lose weight, you must change the way you eat and the best thing you can do is eliminate processed foods! Eat more vegetables, fruits, eggs, free-range meat, nuts and seeds.

If you want to lose weight the formula is simple, purchase healthy foods and leave the processed foods alone. Instead of eating junk food every day add meat from free roaming animals, seeds, nuts, beans, fruits and vetgetables. Save the unhealthy stuff for a cheat day!

•    Limit junk foods to 1 day a week, cheat day.
•    The best source of carbohydrates is fruits and vegetables instead of grain.
•    Tomato sauces contain soybean oils and HFCS, avoid them. Instead, choose sauces created with olive oil.
•    Canola oils are unhealthy as well.
•    A good alternative to corn chips would be a veggie stick and guacamole.
•    Reduce your cereal, bread, and pasta intake by having them on your cheat day.

No one is perfect, and your diet may never attain that status either. Nevertheless, you can enjoy weight loss if you will get your percentages of soy, corn and wheat back to a healthy level. This is absolutely key if you wish to lose weight and be healthier.
